The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro is a file-based broadcast video recorder/player that offers all the features of the HyperDeck HD versions combined with incredible processing power for UHD work. Its 12G-SDI connections include input, loop-through and two SDI outputs that allow playback of the alpha channel and the main signal of ProRes 4444 files.
Thanks to its HDMI connectivity and compatibility with ProRes and DNx formats, it supports all types of television standards in different resolutions. Like the other HyperDeck models, it offers the possibility of recording in H.264, but also uses H.265 compression when processing UHD images. Its 10G Ethernet technology provides outstanding speed, and it has two redundant AC power supplies, plus an additional DC input.

The Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro allows you to record and playback high quality media to SSD hard drives and SD cards. It features a modern design and a quieter cooling system, and supports a wide range of codecs, including H.264, H.265, ProRes and DNxHD with PCM or AAC audio. After recording is complete, you can insert the storage media directly into your PC to access the files by using your favorite editing software. It also has Time Code and Reference signal input and output, so that you can record in stand-alone mode or synchronize several units for recording or playback at the same time, if necessary. For these reasons, HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro is ideal for broadcast, live production or digital signage.
