The Datavideo HDR-60 hard disk recorder is a portable recorder. It records NTSC, PAL and HD video from its SD/HD-SDI input to 2.5" HDD or SSD disks in a removable bay, with selectable colour sampling and data rate. Front panel buttons provide local control of the unit similar to a VTR and there are two mini-XLR inputs and outputs for balanced audio.
The drive enclosure supports HDD or SSD drives up to 500GB which can be connected directly to a computer via the built-in USB 2.0 or eSATA interface. The HDR-60 drive writes with NTFS formatting that can be read by Mac or Windows. For remote control, the HDR-60 features a 9-pin connector that allows control via RS-232 or RS-422. The unit is powered by 12 volts DC power, and the connector has a locking collar so that the power cannot be accidentally disconnected.
