With the NewTek NC2 I/O module, you can join your NDI infrastructure with the SDI video I/O streams. Route up to eight channels of SDI video through your network to transmit and receive SD, HD or 4K UHD video in a studio environment.
The eight HD-BNC terminals can be connected to video sources, audio sources, players or monitors, and each of them can be individually configured as input or output. You can configure the NC2 for input or output of up to eight 3G-SDI, two 12G-SDI plus four 3G-SDI, or any other I/O configuration you need. It supports color correction on every single channel, with professional picture controls, multi-format processing, and Dante, AES, ASIO and WDM audio with your existing drivers and licenses.
Since the module only needs to be connected to the network, you can deploy multiple modules at different locations within your network, instantly integrating that location into your production. Its 10Gb/s Ethernet port can easily support high quality video streams in an NDI environment. Multi-screen video can also be displayed locally via USB Type-C. This unit mounts in a standard 19" equipment rack, so you can add more units to get a larger number of inputs and outputs in a given location.
Dynamic I/O configuration
The Newtek NC2 system can be configured as 8x 3G-SDI, 2x 12G-SDI plus 4x 3G-SDI, or a wide range in between. Independently configure each channel for resolutions up to 2160p at 60 frames per second.
8-channel recording
Simultaneously record up to 8 SDI inputs; combine with the NewTek remote network storage for optimal power and adaptability.
Built for NDI
Compatible with 10Gb Ethernet, NC2 Studio I/O is ideal for use in high-speed network environments, such as Broadcast workflows, and is perfect for NDI traffic. Built to work with NDI 5, the NC2 supports all the latest and future features.
Adaptability to any workflow
The NewTek NC2 I/O is a powerful and adaptable solution, offering IP flexibility while leveraging existing SDI equipment and infrastructure. Audio integration provides adaptable workflows, through connection to USB-based and networked audio controllers (DANTE™/AES67/ASIO/WDM)(1). Management and control of each channel can be performed locally, via integrated KVM NDI technology, or via a web-based API.
(1) Compatible audio drivers and/or virtual sound card licenses (sold separately) are required.
Color correction
Independently adjust the color characteristics of each channel by manually setting brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, white balance, and more with the processor's built-in controls, or optionally enable automatic color matching between channels.
Configurable A/V sources
