Kiloview U40 - HDMI to 4K NDI Encoder
The Kiloview U40 is an HDMI to NDI 4K encoder , capable of converting any camera signal or other HDMI source into a Full-NDI stream . The U40...
The Kiloview S2 is a 4K HDMI to H.265 video encoder for streaming, monitoring and recording. It is possible to choose between H.265 or H.264 encoding. H.265 encoding provides 4Kp30 output at 4Mb/s, half the bandwidth of H.264 encoding at equal quality. The S2 offers a primary (4K) and secondary (1080p) stream outputs, which can be streamed simultaneously to 8 destinations each, for a total of 16 streams.
The S2 supports HDMI 2.0, with embedded and analogue audio inputs. It supports simultaneous RTMP/RTMPS streaming as well as NDI|HX and is suitable for remote SRT productions. A Tally indicator allows for use in multi-camera productions, and an optional Kiloview software enables intercom functions. While transmitting and viewing the output locally, the S2 allows the output to be recorded to a suitable USB drive or optional NAS
With HEVC H.265 encoding, the Kiloview S2 achieves a lower encoding bit rate and saves more than 50% bandwidth with the same picture quality compared to the H.264 codec.
(Typical encoding bit rate: H.265: 4KP30 at 4 Mbps, H.264: 4KP30 at 8 Mbps)
The unit has an HDMI 2.0 input so it supports 4Kp60 and is capable of encoding up to 4Kp30. It is also compatible with SD, HD and VESA resolutions, providing high picture quality.
S2 supports RTSP / RTMP / RTMPS / HLS / TS-UDP / Onvif1.1 / 2.0 / and NDI|HX, so users can stream live with RTMP / RTMPS, produce live with NDI|HX and produce remotely with SRT, all can be managed at the same time with a single device.
It supports both integrated and analogue 3.5 mm audio.
Together with Kiloview's intercom software, the S2 can support intercom functions for better communication. (Compatible with software version 2.0+)
The web user interface is equipped to preview the video source in real time, allowing you to monitor the status of the video at any time.
The equipment has dual transmission output (main and secondary). Each stream can be sent to 8 platforms even with different protocols. In total, S2 can transmit live simultaneously to 16 platforms with a resolution of up to 4Kp30 in the main transmission and up to 1080p60 in the secondary transmission.
The device has a USB connection for local recording, NAS or even video playback while streaming.
You can overlay a logo, text or images at any position on the screen. Professional tools such as rotation, cropping, mirroring and colour adjustment are also available. (Compatible with software version 2.0+).
S2 can be powered by PoE and DC 12 V. An Ethernet cable can supply power and transmit signals at the same time.
S2 is commonly used in broadcasting, conferences, programmes, live streaming, interactive connections, network video recording, integrated media projects, etc.
