The ETH-B4 interface, part of the Skaarhoj Link series, is similar to Skaarhoj SDI-B4 Link interface, but the data input is performed over Ethernet instead of via SDI. The protocol in this case is also Blackmagic Camera Control, but over UDP ("UDP Camera Control") and is normally used to control the communication between Blackmagic Cameras and their mounted Canon or Fujinon B4 lenses from any Skaarhoj controller.
With the Skaarhoj ETH-B4 Link, the iris control data is sent separately from the camera control data via Ethernet. The ETH-B4 Link has a camera selector that sets a camera identification filter as well as its IP address. Based on the iris data it receives, it is able to send settings using the Hirose-12 pin connector. It is also able to interpret whether the camera is in preview or program, and show it thanks to the relay and a small built-inLED light.
