Aten KL1516AN - 16-port Cat5e KVM Switch

LCD KVM switch with LED backlight and 19'' inch screen that can be retracted independently of the keyboard module with built-in touch panel. It is a control unit that allows computer system administrators to access up to 16 computers from the LCD console and an additional KVM console of PS/2 or USB type. Units are connected through Cat 5e/6 cables with RJ-45 connectors. With the KVM adapter cables, type KA7520 of Aten, used for the final connection allows the coexistence of any combination of PC, Macintosh, Sun and serial devices in the same installation and allowing through another port the chain connection of compatible KVMs up to 31 KVM switches and in fact up to 512 computers.

These switches include a number of features that allow administrators to manage the server room and all devices in the data center allowing the use of up to 10 different users and an additional administrator session. Equipped with a diffusion mode to transmit console commands to all connected computers, this allows you to perform tasks such as installing software or upgrades, shutting down equipment etc... on all computers simultaneously.

The advanced adapter ID function stores adapter cable configuration data - such as your identifier, port name, operating system, keyboard language, etc. This function allows the administrator to move servers around (connecting them to different ports) without having to reconfigure the adapters. Another advantage offered by these switches is the improved graphical quality - increasing the possible distance to the servers to 50 m for resolutions of 1280x1024.
