Aten KL1508AN - 8-port Cat.5 KVM switch daisy-chainable

19'' inch screen KVM switch with 8 ethernet ports to control up to 8 devices. Can be retracted independently of the keyboard module with built-in touch panel. It is a control unit that allows administrators of connected systems to access multiple computers from the LCD console and an additional KVM console of PS/2 or USB type. The equipment is connected with cat. 5e/6 cables with RJ-45 connectors. With the KVM adapter cables (like Aten KA7520) end connection, this unit allows any combination of PC, Macintosh, Sun and serial devices to coexist in the same installation and allowing through the daisy-chain port connection of compatible switches being able to control up to 31 switches and therefore up to 256 equipments.

These switches include some features that allow administrators to manage the server room and all devices in the data center. It supports up to 10 different user accounts and one additional administrator account. It also provides us with a broadcast system whereby we can transmit console commands to all computers simultaneously such as software installation or update, shutdown, etc...

The advanced adapter ID function stores adapter cable configuration data, such as your identifier, port name, operating system, keyboard language, etc. This feature allows the administrator to move servers around (connecting them to different ports) without having to reconfigure the adapters. Another advantage offered by these switches is the improved graphics quality by increasing the possible distance to the servers to 50m for resolutions of 1280x1024.
