The JVC GY-HC550 Connected Cam professional handheld camcorder is a 4K UHD camcorder for work in traditional or IP workflows. The camera includes a number of broadcast-related features, such as overlay, GPS metadata and HD MPEG-2 encoding, to make it easy to connect to legacy broadcast systems. The camera has built-in wireless LAN and Zixi wireless protocol.
The GY-HC550's sensor is a 1" CMOS and a lens with three manual rings and integrated 20x optical and 40x digital zoom. It has 2 SD card slots, and a slot for an optional SSD, allowing UHD capture at 60/50p. Supports HDR in HLG or JLog1.
Captures UHD in ProRes or MP4, and is capable of recording HD in MPEG-2 and HD streaming over IP, via a wired connection. It features IFB and IP video return, as well as automatic FTP for video files to be transferred automatically.

Professional handheld camcorder for ENG featuring a 4K 1'' CMOS sensor combined with a newly developed 20x lens with 3-ring control. With a high-resolution viewfinder, image framing and focus control is easily achieved and can reach up to 12 dynamic range stops, with support for BT709, BT2020 and BT2100 HLG colour spaces. It can record to SSD media in a wide variety of formats, including 10-bit ProRes 422 with 4K resolution and 50/60p frame rates. Other codecs and recording formats, such as H.264 and MPEG-2, are also available, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of workflows.
It offers a set of advanced IP connectivity features, offering live streaming in full HD quality, FTP file transfer and remote camera control. Camcorder connectivity will be via the camera's USB host port (on the right rear side of the camera). Select the device to be used: WIFI dongle, 3G/4G LTE dongle or Ethernet adapter (RJ45). The adapter to be used must be a registered adapter, as each adapter requires drivers implemented in the camera to work. In the case of LTE adapters, you must first preset these devices on your local PC. In the case of the wifi network, the wireless network signal receiver is built-in to the camera itself.

- The connection to a network will be made by the USB Host Port of the camcorder (on the right back end side of the camcorder). Please select the device which you are going to use: WIFI dongle / 3G/4G dongle or a CAT Network adapter.The Adapter you going to be use must be a registered Adapter (see attached compatible list), cause all of these Adapter needs dedicate drivers, which to be implemented into the camcorder.In the case for LTE adapters, there must be done a pre-set of these dongles in your local PC first!
