If you need to capture HDMI images while still being able to capture VGA and other analog video signals, the Magewell Pro Capture HDMI card offers a reliable, easy-to-install solution that is compatible with any video editing or streaming software.

It can be installed on Windows, Linux or Mac, in a PCIe Gen2 slot. It has an HDMI video input, which supports DVI, and a 9-pin D-Sub, which with the supplied adapter cable, facilitates YC, Composite or Component connection, as well as stereo analog audio.

The Pro Capture HDMI has a 12-bit ADC and supports resolutions up to 2048x2160, up to 144fps. It is compatible with most video editing programs and supports software such as: VLC, VirtualDub, OBS, XSplit, vMix, VidBlaster, Wirecast, Microsoft Media Encoder, Adobe Flash Media Encoder and any other that supports DirectShow / V4L2 / AVCaptureSession encoding and decoding.

HDMI, Component and Composite with audio capture card. Supports input resolutions up to 2048x2160 and can be installed on any computer with a free PCIe Gen2 slot. 

It automatically detects the format of the input signal and performs 10-bit processing, with deinterlacing, color adjustment, scaling conversion color space  and aspect ratio. It is designed to operate under Windows, Linux or Mac.

Windows Driver Tweaks

Firmware Upgrade

  • Multiple cards in one system can be upgraded simultaneously
  • Cards can be upgraded without a system power shutdown (In most cases, even a reboot is not needed)
  • Safe upgrade. If power off or system break down occur when the firmware is being upgraded, it will automatically restore to the initial version. This function is only available for firmware version 1.21 and above.


LED Indicator

  • Status LEDs indicate the working state of each channel:
    • Pulsing slowly: idle
    • On: input signal locked
    • Off: input signal unlocked
    • Double blinks: memory failed or FPGA configuration failed
