Roland VP-42H - 4x2 HDMI Video Matrix and Processor

The Roland VP-42H is a 4x2 HDMI video processor capable of combining up to 4 HDMI video sources into a single output. It can work with multiple resolutions and formats simultaneously, which thanks to its Motion Scene Switching allows smooth transitions between sophisticated screen compositions. Its configuration is extremely simple and intuitive, allowing remote switching with browser-based network control. It has audio management and connection with external audio equipment. It also has a Keyer function for overlays and advanced compositions.

Traditionally, splicing video into layers and switching multiple sources within a single screen is complicated and costly, requiring immensely skilled operators to keep everything working properly. This has pushed the technology out of reach for most event producers so far. The Roland VP-42H video processor offers customizable compositions for up to four inputs, with motion-based scene switching for impressive visual impact.

The VP-42H can also function as a true seamless switch with cross dissolution with a Keyer to create overlays and the ability to display still images through a USB drive, perfect for logos and backup slides.

The Roland VP-42H includes stereo RCA outputs to extract audio from connected HDMI sources and send it to other devices such as speakers and mixers. Levels for each source can be adjusted by the internal audio mixer, and if the VP-42H is being used as a composer for recording or streaming, audio from an external mixer or other sources can be connected to the RCA inputs and embedded within the HDMI output signal.

Quickly configure the scenes using the web browser interface for your VP-42H, connected to the network. Each input layer can be scaled, cropped, enlarged and placed with a single click and drag. So even in a large event, a VP-42H connected to a large screen will be up and running in seconds, allowing you to use a wirelessly connected tablet to set up compositions instantly.
