The upgraded Scarlett mic preamp features switchable phantom power for condenser mics and a selectable Air mode, based on Focusrite's legendary ISA preamp. In addition to the single XLR microphone input, the Scarlett Solo provides a single 1/4" input with an instrument/line switch that allows the signal to be accepted directly from a guitar, bass, synthesizer or drum machine.
The 24-bit / 192 kHz AD/DA converters, which allow recording at standard CD quality or high-fidelity resolutions, ensure that signals are captured and reproduced with detail and accuracy. Listen through the supplied headphones or connect powered speakers to the 1/4" balanced monitor outputs, and use the selectable direct monitoring to hear the input signal live without annoying echoes or latency.
