The Datavideo HDR-70 hard disk recorder is rack-mountable for use in studios or OB vans. Records PAL and HD video from SD/HD-SDI input. Records to a removable 2.5" HDD or SSD hard disk. The HDR-70 allows you to select colour sampling and data rate. Front panel buttons provide a local control of the unit similar to a traditional recorder. There are two XLR inputs and outputs for balanced audio.
The disk caddy supports HDD or SSD drives up to 500GB, and can be connected directly to a computer via USB 2.0 or eSata interface for uploading or editing directly from the drive. It records in NTFS file format, which can be read by Mac or Windows systems. Remote control of the HDR-70 is via a 9-pin connector that allows control via RS-232 or RS-422. The unit is powered by 12 volts DC, and the cable connector has a locking mechanism.
