The JVC GY-HM180 Ultra HD 4K camcorder features professional functions in a compact format with 3G-SDI and HDMI outputs. Its 1/2.3" 12.4MP CMOS sensor captures UHD 4K images in 25 or 50p at 70 or 150Mb/s, Full-HD up to 50p at 50Mb/s and HD up to 120fps for smooth slow motion.
It can record lower resolution proxy files simultaneously with full-size HD files, providing smaller files suitable for web or editing. UHD 4K output is via HDMI, while HD video is via 3G-SDI BNC. Display options include: 3.5" LCD screen, 0.24 color viewfinder with focus assist function.

Ultra-HD compact 4K camcorder with HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs. It has professional audio connectivity and is capable of recording 4:2:2 Full-HD at 50Mbps, in addition to obtain 4K via HDMI. Integrated 12x optical zoom lens and 4K CMOS sensor that offer 4K recordings of great sharpness, directly on SDHC/SDXC memory cards, in addition to its small size that allows shooting in difficult places for larger cameras.
VC's 4K CMOS sensor, with 12.4 Megapixels, provides high sensitivity and excellent response under multiple lighting conditions. Image details are crisp and precise throughout the visual plane. The camcorder allows high-speed recording up to 100fps (50Hz) for smooth slow motion playback, allowing it to be used for artistic effects or to review action repeats when examining sports skills. The function is only available at 1920x1080 resolution.
F1,2-3,5 precision zoom lens (equivalent in 35 mm to 29,6-355 mm). When recording in HD mode, the dynamic zoom combines the optical zoom with the pixel mapping function, acting on the 4K image to create a uniform, lossless 24X zoom. Thanks to this system, the camera allows to work in HD with a long zoom, but keeping small physical dimensions.
The GY-HM180E camcorder includes multiple input/output connectors, in addition to HD-SDI (3G) and HDMI, which makes any workflow easier. The system provides a secure digital connection between external devices, such as a mixer or an external recorder (with REC/Pause control from camera). It has simultaneous HD digital output via SDI and HDMI.
The recording capability of 4:2:2 at 50 Mbps from 24 to 60p and H.264 compression scheme, make the GY-HM180 camera ideal for both TV stations and production. The color accuracy provided by 4:2:2 signal sampling provides exceptional color resolution, even when images have strong contrasts in the background. Such as when there are intense colors on bright backgrounds, or when we make a chroma keyy with a green background.
