The JVC GY-HM170 compact 4K UHD professional camcorder is designed to meet professional performance requirements. It offers ND filters, assignable buttons and professional audio inputs with manual gain control, in a size close to that of a consumer camcorder. The camera, with 1/2.3" CMOS sensor, records 3840x2180 UHD 4K at 25p, at 150Mb/s, encoding in H.264 encapsulated .MOV. With two SDHC/SDXC card slots, it supports dual, backup and continuous recording. In addition to 4K, the camera can record 1080p in a .MOV file or in AVCHD.

It has a 3.5" flip-out LCD screen, plus 0.24" viewfinder, the latter especially useful in broad daylight. It has direct HDMI 4K output. On the top handle it has two switchable XLR mic/line/mic +48 audio inputs with independent gain control. It has a hot shoe for accessories and a clip for shotgun microphone.

UltraHD 4K video camera with ultra-rugged camera body and professional grade controls and adjustments. The GY-HM170E records FullHD in 4:2:2 at 50Mbps. It features a very bright 12x zoom lens (F1.2) and 24x dynamic zoom in HD mode, with excellent pixel mapping. It has two SDHC/SDXC card slots for extended recording or simultaneous backup. 4K UHD video output via HDMI and can record in HD at 120fps, ideal for slow-motion images.
