Built to deliver premium sound in an easy-to-use format for bands, project studio engineers, and panel podcasters who need mix-less functionality when taking calls, third-party USB audio / MIDI interface Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 18x20 generation allows artists, engineers and producers to achieve professional-level tone with no learning curve.

The eight upgraded Scarlett mic preamps feature switchable phantom power for condenser microphones, pads to prevent distortion from strong input signals, and a channel-selectable Air circuit, which adds clarity-enhancing brightness based on Focusrite's legendary ISA preamp.

The first two XLR-1/4" combo inputs accept unbalanced instrument level from guitars, basses, synths, and drum machines, or balanced line level from an external mixer or preamps, while the combo inputs 3-8 support mic or line level sources.

The 24-bit / 192 kHz AD / DA converters, which allow recording in standard CD quality or at high-fidelity resolutions, ensure that signals are captured and reproduced with detail and precision. With four balanced 1/4" line / monitor outputs, six additional 1/4" line outputs, two stereo 1/4" headphone jacks, and independent volume control of the two headphone outputs and the outputs of main / high speakers, the Scarlett 18i20 can simultaneously power multiple monitoring systems and external effects processors with ease.

The Scarlett 18i20's virtual loopback feature allows podcasters an easy mix-less setup to take calls without the caller being distracted by a delayed audio loopback signal. Plus, the built-in talkback function and built-in talkback microphone make it easy to communicate with your artists during recording sessions. You can even use your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch to wirelessly control the Scarlett 18i20.

Use the dual ADAT optical input and output ports to connect external 8-channel AD / DA converters (available separately). Traditional 5-pin MIDI input and output allow for seamless integration of MIDI gear such as keyboards or sound modules, and coaxial S / PDIF ports allow for proper routing of stereo digital gear.

With its 1 RU size, USB Type-C connectivity and AC power (via the included power cord), the Scarlett 18i20 is well suited for bands, project studios and large home setups needing lots of analog and digital I/O in a rack mountable form factor.
