The Aten CE690 is a DVI video KVM extender that can manage two computers, one local and one remote, using a single fiber optic cable to transmit audio, high definition video and control signals over long distances. The CE690 is capable of transmitting signals over distances up to 20km from the source. The DVI extender takes the video and audio signals from a local source and processes the data for transmission over a 3.125Gbps optical link (for 1920x1200 resolutions at 60Hz and 24-bit) with unsurpassed image quality.
In addition to extending the range of keyboard and mouse signals, the CE690 transmits RS-232 (up to 115kbps) and USB in both directions. It has ports for both types of interfaces, to which serial devices such as barcode scanners and USB devices such as touch screens can be connected, allowing access to a local computer and one located 20km away.

The Aten CE690 is a DVI KVM extender capable of sending a KMV DVI signal up to 20 km from the start of the signal by single-mode optical fiber. This extender has a video quality up to 1920x1200 at 60 Hz (24 bits). A fibre optic cable is used to connect the transmitter and receiver.
The Aten CE690 receives the images and sounds from the local console and sends them over a 3.125 Gbps optical link to transmit them with high image quality.
