The AJA KUMO CP2 is a 2RU control panel compatible with all AJA KUMO matrices, including the KUMO 6464. It can be used in stand-alone or network configurations. Connected via Ethernet to the same network as the KUMO routers, KUMO CP2 allows total control from anywhere without the need for a computer. Up to four KUMO routers can be controlled from a single control panel. It supports dual and quad port routing, allowing users to group multiple inputs and outputs for Dual Link, 4K and Ultra HD workflows. In addition to HD and SD, each KUMO can route 2 or 4 grouped 3G-SDI connections, supporting uncompressed or RAW 4K and UltraHD signals.
The destination-oriented KUMO CP2 control panel offers plug-and-play control of AJA's complete line of KUMO SDI compact routers. It has 80 buttons and allows you to select up to 64 sources and 64 destinations on each of the four KUMO routers in standalone mode or through an integrated graphical user interface accessible from any web browser on the network. This affordable control panel is only 1.3 inches deep, is easy to install, eliminates the need to use a Shift key on KUMO 1604, 1616 and 3232, and is backed by a five-year warranty.
The new SALVOs support simplifies switching operations as it retrieves multiple sources to specific destinations. SALVOs are stored on a KUMO router and can be retrieved via the KUMO router web interface, native GVG protocol via Ethernet, RS-232 and/or AJA KUMO CP2 SALVOs buttons. Eight SALVOs can be configured and stored on each of the KUMO routers. The SALVOs allow the operator to quickly retrieve predefined sources for specific destination configurations at the touch of a button.
While KUMO routers can be controlled via the integrated web user interface, connecting a KUMO CP2 to the network provides a familiar, computer-free solution for router control for all KUMO routers. The front panel interface of KUMO CP2 is easily recognizable and understood by video engineers, tape operators and editors, and provides a fast, tactile interface that can withstand the rigors of everyday use.
Using its Ethernet network connection, KUMO CP2 can communicate with up to four KUMO routers anywhere on the network. This allows you to locate control panels exactly where they are needed for maximum accessibility.
For stand-alone configurations with KUMO CP2, all KUMO routers can be connected to each other directly via standard RJ45 cables or a network switch, if required. The KUMO software will automatically detect and assign routers to the control panel branches so that your routing system is ready for immediate use. In a network environment, the integrated web user interface provides all the configuration controls to create exactly the configuration you need.
Customize KUMO CP2 buttons exactly to your needs. Use text labels and colored inserts to identify multiple fonts, destinations and routers for quick and easy operation. To get started, you can download a lens chip template that can be printed in color and cut to create an insert for each button on KUMO CP2. Light gauge paper or film will be illuminated with the button for easy identification even in the darkest engine room or editing room.
