FiDO-TR is a family of converters between SDI and Fiber Optics that allows the transport of SDI, HD-SDI and 3G SDI at distances of up to 10km with standard single mode fiber optic cable, with the option of LC, ST or SC connectors, depending on the converter model. Fido converters meet all SMPTE specifications and are rugged, versatile and suitable for indoor or outdoor use. The FiDO-TR allows bi-directional conversion between Fiber Optics and SDI using two different unidirectional paths.
